Dynatrace, an enterprise software and cloud management firm in Waltham, Ma was looking for an impressive and unique privacy vinyl application for 13 of its conference rooms. The CEO wanted each room to showcase various sporting events and championships. Later, I would get contracted privately to design another 7 rooms as part of a massive expansion.
During a site survey, I noticed a unique feature of the conference room glass: an 8-inch gap served to acoustically block sound. I used this depth to focus on a dynamic, spatial parallax effect separating the foreground subject in plotter-cut vinyl applied first surface and casting it over a generic background in digital-print second-surface application.
As the project progressed, the client requested that color be included to make the room really stand out.
