I have attended the AdobeMAX creativity conference in Los Angeles twice, and remotely for another three years. From these experiences I have learned techniques and skills from industry leaders to speed up time-consuming processes and unleash the limits of creativity and expression. Attending these labs and inspirational talks gives me deep insights into trends and technologies that drive my industry. From a purely technical angle, I have had the opportunity to interface and train with the very developers of the Adobe creative suite to understand my trade fully. From the creativity angle, I have attended talks by groundbreaking artists and designers such as Jeff Koons, Paula Scher, Stefan Sagmeister, Wes Anderson, Aaron Draplin, Chris Do, and Jason Naylor to name drop only a few.
I have a compulsion to improve. Whether it be effective, functional design or streamlining a mundane process. Everything can always be better.
I started my journey as a fine artist, which came from the strengths I exhibited in my youth. However, creativity by traditional methods always seemed so messy and labor intensive. Mixing paint, kneading clay, developing exposures. Although meditative, always seemed to get in the way of the creative process. Graphic Design and commercial art was just the perfect fit I had been looking for.
