Northeast Color has been a printing vendor for Planet Fitness for well over a decade. Both originating in Dover, NH, our partnership has grown to the point of being the primary vendor for over 1500 locations globally. From the wall dressings to the dimensional signage, to the digital menu boards, and even the famous "Lunk Alarm", Northeast Color designed, manufactured, and warehoused nearly every square inch of what you see.
Producing graphics for thousands of locations with up to 300+ new openings each year required highly strategic and efficient workflows and templating. Working primarily in a prepress capacity, it was imperative that each template of the thousands of SKUs maintains not only pinpoint accuracy and efficiency of the production materials, but also minimizes the number of touch points each prepress operator must undergo during the order process.
We went to great lengths automating advanced template structures, such as data-merge, GREP formatting, and Adobe Library DAMs to do all the heavy lifting to maintain brand standards, allowing the prepress operator to focus on content accuracy.
We printed so much wall covering for this client that we had a dedicated, direct-to-substrate printer running 24 hours a day, printing miles and miles of gears and PF logos.
We worked alongside PF Corporate to develop, test, and roll out various product offerings before they were distributed to locations nationwide, as well as Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Australia.
